Connecting Canterbury is seeking new trustees to join our active and committed board in supporting the work of the volunteers in our Canterbury community hubs. No prior experience of grassroots community work or credit union or financial advice is necessary – just a commitment to attend 4 to 5 (evening) meetings a year, assist with occasional operational, business development/fundraising or branch tasks, and bring constructive ideas to help further our mission. Experience and knowledge of Canterbury and the relevant support agencies that work in the area would be an advantage. We"re a small charity with strong support from Canterbury Diocese, Church Urban Fund and Kent Savers Credit Union and we"d love to hear from you. For an informal chat about what we do and how you can help, please contact our Trustee and Treasurer Keith Berry

Fundraising volunteers needed in your local community!!! National Tea Break Coordinator Fundraising? It's a piece of cake! Friday 21 October is Epilepsy Action's National Tea Break, and we are looking for volunteers to organise a Tea Break in their local area. Your tea party can be as big or small as you like. You can have a few friends over for a cup of tea and cake, or have a 'cuppa' at work. You can even invite the entire neighbourhood to a tea party in a manor house! Any funds you raise will be vital in helping us continue to support people living with epilepsy. And if you can't do this date, simply let our team know and you can make time for tea on a day that best suits you.
